200kb

Compress photos to 200KB

Target: 200KB

Start with the 200KB upper limit, then review the dimensions and format in Studio. Compression keeps pixel dimensions unchanged and checks the final file's bytes, including metadata. Processing stays in your browser.

How to compress a photo to 200KB

Choose your requirements, export, and review the result. Processing stays in your browser.

  1. 1

    Upload your photo

Drop a JPG, PNG, or HEIC photo into IDPhotos Studio. The file never leaves your device.

  2. 2

    Pick 200KB as the target

The Export tab is pre-set to 200KB when you arrive from this page. You can override it any time.

  3. 3

    Compress and check the file

JPG and WebP compression adjusts quality without changing pixel dimensions. The final byte count must meet the 200KB limit; otherwise download is blocked.

  4. 4

    Download the result

Export in your selected format. A file that passes the byte-size check can be downloaded; review its visual quality before submitting. Your original stays untouched.

Frequently asked questions about 200KB compression

Will compressing to 200KB ruin the photo quality?

Compression to 200KB may reduce image detail. JPG and WebP adjust quality while keeping pixel dimensions unchanged. Review the result yourself. If the size limit cannot be met, change the requirements rather than expecting an automatic size or format change.

How close does the output get to 200KB?

The 200KB preset is an upper limit, not a promise to produce an exact file size. The final byte count includes metadata. In Photo requirements, choose KB (1000), KiB (1024) or bytes, plus < or ≤, to match the recipient's rule.

Does the 200KB compressor support PNG?

Yes. You can choose PNG output in Photo requirements. PNG stays lossless; if the file exceeds 200KB, download is blocked. The tool does not silently convert it to JPG or reduce its pixel dimensions.

Can I batch-compress multiple photos to 200KB?

Studio is single-photo by design. For a batch run, drop each photo in one after another — the 200KB preset stays applied across the session.

Edit the dimensions, format, DPI, background and file-size limit for one photo at a time.
