Frequently asked questions about 1MB compression

Will compressing to 1MB ruin the photo quality?

Compression to 1MB may reduce image detail. JPG and WebP adjust quality while keeping pixel dimensions unchanged. Review the result yourself. If the size limit cannot be met, change the requirements rather than expecting an automatic size or format change.

How close does the output get to 1MB?

The 1MB preset is an upper limit, not a promise to produce an exact file size. The final byte count includes metadata. In Photo requirements, choose KB (1000), KiB (1024) or bytes, plus < or ≤, to match the recipient's rule.

Does the 1MB compressor support PNG?

Yes. You can choose PNG output in Photo requirements. PNG stays lossless; if the file exceeds 1MB, download is blocked. The tool does not silently convert it to JPG or reduce its pixel dimensions.

Can I batch-compress multiple photos to 1MB?

Studio is single-photo by design. For a batch run, drop each photo in one after another — the 1MB preset stays applied across the session.
